Klepzig Mill

Klepzig Mill got it's name from the Klepzig family who placed a mill on Rocky Creek for the purpose of making electricity for their farm and the surrounding community. The mill is still there, sans machinery, along with part of the mill race and a spring house. Just down the road are the ruins of the house and barn.

The water of Rocky Creek pools and drops several times just at this mill site leaving several places to wade, a shallow swimming hole and lots of places to jump from rock to rock.

The Ozark Trail crosses Rocky Creek here and goes right by the mill itself. A local dirt road goes directly to the mill with one or two undesignated parking places here and there. Primitive camping nearby. A mile walking cross country to the Current River, 5 miles by road.

We can give you directions if the organizations below are of no help.
